PBIEA’s mission statement is: “Education Through Entertainment.”

Why “Entertainment?” Because when what you see and hear remains with you long after the curtain comes down, you are more likely to retain the information provided in the program.

Everyone of a certain age can tell you that the name of their favorite bologna is based on the Oscar Meyer theme song. Same for their favorite hot dogs. And… let us not forget that band aids have stuck to each one of us - for a short time to our skin and for decades in our memory banks. PBIEA offers that tune that sticks in your head!

We want our students and our audience members to leave the Institute after each class and each production a little bit wiser than when they entered. Reading and writing are a vital part of the arts. Without literacy, society dies. Our programs are the soil into which we plant the seeds for a better future.

While we are an arts related organization, we are also an open forum, allowing both students and audience members to discuss any issue on which they need clarification.

The Palm Beach Institute for the Entertainment Arts is “The Little Engine That Could” and, with your support, we can continue our commitment to the communities we serve. With your help, we can advance our mission of “Education Through Entertainment.” Many dreams have been realized at PBIEA but there are still many dreams waiting to be lived.
