THE NEIGHBORHOOD

by award-winning playwright John Kelly

“The Neighborhood,” while set in decades past is perfect for our world today. It is the heartwarming story of a time and a place when neighbors were friends who could be counted on when they were needed - for whatever reason.

Join us in April and meet Jacob Fleischman, 70, who owns a shoe repair shop on the lower east side of Manhattan. The building and the business have been in Jacob’s family for generations. The city around him is changing, but Jacob and his neighbors refuse to move or change the way they look at life.
